Wind Energy is proven technology across the globe with over 18,400 MW installed in India. As per the latest C-WET estimates at 80 meter hub heights the wind potential of India is over 1,00,000 MW.

The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) is the international trade association for the wind power industry. GWEC’s mission is to ensure that wind power establishes itself as the answer to energy challenges and provides substantial environmental and economic benefits. GWEC has been reviewing the progress of India’s wind industry and presenting a detailed report about their Outlook of the Sector. The report is a joint publication by GWEC, the World Institute of Sustainable Energy (WISE), and the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA).
